Teachers' bursaries

The regular CA scheme for schoolteachers’ bursaries will be in operation. Applicants should contact the Office not later than 29 January 2010 enclosing a brief statement with details of their school and any other funding they may have available. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 8 February 2010. Applications are welcomed by email (preferred) or by post to The Classical Association (Teachers' Bursaries), Senate House, Malet Street, London, WC1E 7HU.
Student bursaries

Details of the student bursary scheme will be announced in the usual way, via UK Classics departments. A separate announcement will also be made about bursaries for students at overseas universities. UK STUDENTS MAY **NOT** APPLY FOR BURSARIES DIRECTLY TO THE CA. If you have been awarded a conference bursary, please make your booking in accordance with the terms and conditions of your award. CA conference bursaries do not cover the cost of excursions or membership fees.

Students at overseas universities

Students at overseas universities may apply for financial assistance by e-mailing douglas.cairns@ed.ac.uk. Applicants should state clearly their reasons for attending the conference and any other sources of financial assistance available to them. All applications must be received by 29 January 2010.
Please note: this scheme is for students at overseas universities; overseas students at UK universities should be nominated by their departments under the UK scheme above.
If you are applying for either a teacher’s bursary or a subvention, or if you have been put forward by a university department for a student bursary, please do not send in a conference booking form until you have been notified of the outcome of your application. All applicants will be notified in good time prior to the booking deadline. If you have any queries regarding your award, please contact the CA Secretary.
