• Grants: How to Apply

Decisions on grant applications are made by the grants committee which meets four times a year. All applications should include a completed application cover sheet. If you would like to apply we ask that you consider the following:

Be specific. Exactly what are you asking the Classical Association to contribute? E.g. the number of bursaries/type of prize sponsorship. What is your target audience?
If you are applying for conference bursaries, please include a programme.
If you are applying for bursaries, your conference should normally expect to break even before you count the CA contribution.
If you are budgeting for student bursaries, please remember that any bursaries counted in your income must also be shown in your expenditure.
Include details of any other sources of funding you have applied for
    .

There are some things which we simply cannot support or contribute to. These include general unspecified running costs, living costs, salaries, book purchases, exam fees, sponsorship for individuals to visit Classical sites or to study independently, and reserve funds.
