Members are entitled to:

  • receive CA News in June and December each year
  • receive the annual Presidential Address printed in booklet form
  • benefit from substantially reduced prices on all of the Association's journals
  • enjoy the lively Annual Conference
  • attend the Annual General Meeting
  • make use of the audio archive of Presidential Addresses, lectures and classical readings and other material available on loan.

2008 Subscription rates: Classical Association subscriptions are maintained at a low level to encourage the widest possible membership.

  • Full member: £14.00/$28.00
  • Student member: £7.00/$14.00 (student membership is open to students at school or at any institution of higher education for their first year of membership only).
  • Life Member: £125/$250.00 (open to anyone aged 65 years or over).

Members paying for full or student membership and who opt to pay by Direct Debit receive a £2 discount on the rates given above (NB you need a UK bank account to pay by Direct Debit). New members receive complimentary issues of our publications, including copies of CA News and the Presidential Address, upon joining. Membership fees are annual and are payable each January, except for life members.

Journals
Members can subscribe to any of the Association's journals at greatly reduced rates and further reductions are available for subscriptions to more than one title (these rates are for individual members only, not institutions).

Greece & Rome, Vol 55, 2008 Members: £29/$58 (non-members: £83)
Two issues a year, in April and October, plus one issue of the New Surveys in the Classics supplement. Greece & Rome is the most suitable journal for undergraduates and for those with a general interest in the ancient world who wish to be kept informed of what scholars are currently thinking.

Classical Review, Vol 58, 2008 Members: £36/$72 (non-members: £106)
Two issues a year. Classical Review is devoted to reviews by leading scholars of as wide a range as possible of classical books. Everyone who wishes to keep in touch with what is going on in classical scholarship needs to have access to it.

Classical Quarterly, Vol 58, 2008 Members: £34/$68 (non members: £99)
Two issues a year. Classical Quarterly is one of the principal scholarly journals in the field of classics, and is indispensable for the serious scholar.
